Job summary

Koelsch Communities operates Arbor Hills Memory Care and is seeking a friendly Culinary Aide to join the Culinary Department. This full-time role offers a day shift (Sun–Thu, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM) with a starting wage of $16/hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include serving meals, bussing tables, assisting residents with menu choices, and maintaining dining room and kitchen cleanliness while following safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• Positive interpersonal skills required.
• Basic math skills expected.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds required.
• Food handler's card required.
• Criminal background check required.
• Drug screening required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and maintain dining room cleanliness.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Assist residents with menu selections and explain daily specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic manner.
• Maintain grooming and uniform presentation.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You enjoy providing outstanding customer service to residents. This role provides meal service, buses tables, and cleans kitchen and dining areas.

What You'll Do

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Assist residents select food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs’ daily specials
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
