Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a culinary aide to support residents by preparing and presenting meals with care and attention to dietary needs. You will join an experienced team that values communication and teamwork to ensure high-quality mealtime experiences for residents.

The role focuses on following standardized recipes, maintaining safety in food handling, and assisting in meal setup and delivery within a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer 1 year experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and safe food handling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes ensuring safe food handling practices.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays and delivers tray carts to dining areas or units.
• Cleans dishes, utensils and equipment according to facility procedures.
• Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.
