Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support our residents by preparing and presenting meals in a community setting. Shifts are 5:30AM–1:30PM and 11:30AM–7:30PM, offering variety and opportunities to contribute daily to resident well‑being.

You will assist with food preparation, plating, and tray delivery while following safety standards and standardized recipes. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes ensuring safe handling practices.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays and delivers tray carts to dining areas or units.
• Cleans dishes, utensils and equipment according to facility procedures.
• Assists in dishwashing operations and cleaning tasks.
