Qualifications

• Appropriate Minnesota teaching licensure for subject area and level taught.
• Effective oral and written expression.
• Demonstrated collaboration and relationship building skills.
• Strong communication skills verbally, orally and written.
• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to perform routine computer functions, including e‑mail and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work with and create content in digital learning platforms.
• Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way.
• Appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time in a digital environment.
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting methods and materials to meet needs.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Create a positive environment to ensure successful learning for all students.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress and prioritize social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Confer with parents/guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve concerns.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws and policies.
• Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic interests.
• Assist with student goal setting and understanding transcripts.
• Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study following curricula.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and schedule lessons.
• Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
• Attend professional meetings and training to maintain/professional competence.
• Maintain confidentiality with students, families, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
