Job summary

Comfort Temp Company is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Plumbing Apprentices. This is an entry-level, paid training position designed for students or career starters who want to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in commercial plumbing.

As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced, licensed plumbers and receive hands‑on training in real commercial job environments. No experience is required — just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school student or recent graduate
• Reliable transportation and punctual
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Comfortable indoors and outdoors
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers on commercial job sites
• Learn to diagnose and repair plumbing systems and fixtures
• Help install water lines, drains, valves, and commercial-grade equipment
• Carry materials and set up tools for daily tasks
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Communicate respectfully with team members and customers
• Learn Florida plumbing code and best practices
• Show up on time, ready to work and learn

INVESTING IN OUR TEAM IS OUR PRIORITY.

Each year, we sponsor around 20 employees through the Santa Fe College HVAC Apprentice Program so they can earn a 4 year HVAC or Plumbing Apprenticeship Certificate. These Team members work full time for our company and make a commitment to the 4 year program by attending classes 2 days a week for 4 years.

Comfort Temp also houses many in-house training opportunities to support our team’s growth in the trade taught by senior staff or certified instructors with plans to launch our own Comfort Academy Training Program by the end of 2024! Our relationships with our wonderful vendors also enable Comfort Temp to house training programs brought in by various vendors to keep our team on the cutting edge of new technology or advancements in systems.

CT Mechanical was instrumental in launching a new Career Technical Education (CTE) Program in HVAC for the Alachua County School Board launching at Santa Fe High School in Alachua August 2024.
