Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a CTL Lab Manager to oversee day-to-day management of the FACT-accredited stem cell processing within the Cellular Therapy Laboratory (CTL). You will liaise with the stem cell transplantation division, oncology, and other clinical teams to deliver high-quality products.

The role leads a team of about five staff, performs and oversees clinical stem cell processing, and manages logistics for commercial gene therapies while driving quality

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree Biology or related science (Required).
• 10 years related work experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of FACT-accredited stem cell processing in the CTL.
• Liaise between the CTL, clinical stem cell transplantation division, the oncology division, and other clinical teams to ensure safe, high-quality product delivery.
• Manage a staff group of approximately five; onboard and train staff as needed.
• Perform and supervise clinical stem cell processing (cryopreservation, TCR alpha/beta and CD19 depletion, RBC depletion).
• Manage logistics supporting commercial gene therapies and budgetary resources.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with CTL and other divisions to meet high standards.
