Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Lab Manager to lead the Cell Processing Laboratory and GMP Laboratory, enabling safe, compliant patient-centered cell and gene therapy operations. You will guide strategy, operations, and personnel while aligning with regulatory standards.

The role requires extensive leadership, documentation, and collaboration with clinical, quality, and research teams to advance cellular therapy programs and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in medical technology or biological sciences is required.
• Minimum 5+ years in a cell therapy lab (GMP or processing) is required.
• Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role is required.
• Experience with academic Cell Processing labs and cGMP; familiarity with FDA/FACT accreditation is preferred.
• Strong documentation and data interpretation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, technical, and administrative leadership for two laboratories.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation supporting patient care, research, and manufacturing.
• Lead daily operations, mentor staff, manage resources, and partner with leaders across clinical, quality, research, and administration.
• Drive continuous improvement, regulatory readiness, and CAPA/change-control activities.
