Job summary

Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage and reconcile chemical and consumable inventories at our Rockledge, FL site. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, regular counts, and collaboration with Logistics to maintain adequate stock levels for uninterrupted production.

You will use SAP to update inventories and participate in end-of-month inventories, while aligning with 5S and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in tracking, organizing, and maintaining inventories.
• Ability to monitor inventory levels and maintain records accurately.
• Familiar with chemical inventories and related safety procedures.
• Proficient use of SAP and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Track, organize, and maintain inventories to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
• Organize and store inventory according to company standards.
• Perform weekly inventory counts of chemicals and consumables.
• Update chemical inventories in SAP with logistics.
• Order chemicals based on usage and 6-month forecast to avoid shortages.
• Adhere to 5S standards and HSE, quality and productivity requirements.

What you will be doing

• Responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining inventories to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient operations to ensure operations have the necessary chemicals and supplies to minimize downtime or increased scrap.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records
• Organize and store inventory according to company standards
• Perform weekly inventory counts of chemicals and consumables
• Execute specific financial inventories as defines. End of month chemical inventories for Finance
• Work with Logistics to update chemical inventories in SAP
• Update the chemical ordering and pricing with correct inventories and the 6-month forecast
• Oder chemicals based on usage, current inventor levels, and 6 month forecast to ensure the Value-Added department does not run out of supplies needed to run the business
• Knowledge of chemical hazards, waste management procedures, and implementation of emergency response procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
• Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
• Assist other positions within the Value-Added department
