Job summary

The Mattei Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU (CTICU) at Carolinas Medical Center is hiring a registered nurse to deliver advanced post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients on a 7p-7a, 12-hour night schedule. We seek a nurse with strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach.

Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, NC RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 6 months RN experience; inpatient RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care in the CTICU.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with standards and policies.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and communication.
