Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma.
• Associates of Science in Nursing required; BSN within two years preferred.
• Current BLS certification required for PCN role.

Responsibilities

• Assists care givers with standards of care, involving educators and/or supervisor or nurse manager when necessary.
• Ensures caregiver assignments are safe and escalation processes are known.
• Facilitates unit performance improvement processes as directed by leadership.
• Supervises and coordinates delegation and implementation of patient care for assigned shift/area.
• Primary point of contact for medical staff during shift; rounds with staff when needed.
• Manages patient assignments and unit workflow; supports patient flow and admissions/discharges.
• Projects staffing needs for upcoming 12 and 24 hours; escalates issues as needed.
• Ensures caregivers take lunches/breaks; coordinates buddy systems.
