Position: Patient Registration Representative

Salary: $22.20 - $27.03/ hr

Reports To: Medical Officer Manager

Location: Nespelem, WA

Closing Date: October 12, 2026

The Patient Registration Representative is responsible for accurate patient registration, intake, insurance verification, and eligibility documentation. This position ensures patient demographic and billing information is complete, current, and properly documented in the electronic health record (EHR). The representative supports registration quality, billing readiness, and compliance with applicable Tribal, state, and federal requirements in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • One (1) year of clerical, patient registration, insurance verification, or related healthcare administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR), patient registration, insurance verification, or medical billing processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, patient eligibility, alternate resources, and registration documentation preferred.
  • Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain patient demographic, insurance, eligibility, and billing-related information.
  • Ability to identify and resolve registration discrepancies, incomplete documentation, and data-quality issues.
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA, or ability to complete required training.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with clinical staff, billing personnel, and other departments to support accurate registration and timely claims processing.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete registration tasks accurately while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and follow Tribal healthcare eligibility, Purchased/Referred Care (PRC), and alternate resource procedures applicable to the clinic.
  • Ability to use computer systems, EHR applications, and standard office software to maintain accurate records and process registration information.
  • Valid Washington State Drivers License is required and be insurable. Must maintain throughout employment.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State drivers license and be eligible for the Tribes Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
