Job summary

Minnick Schools is seeking a Coordinator of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Roanoke, VA. The role oversees all CTE programming, including curriculum development, program implementation, staff support, and partnerships with local businesses.

The position requires a Virginia teaching license, a bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years in education, with preferred CTE leadership experience. Travel to multiple campuses is required, and driving is a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required; Masters preferred.
• Valid Virginia teaching license required; endorsement in Special Education preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in an educational setting.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a CTE-related role preferred.
• Experience in school administration or leadership preferred.
• Ability to travel to all school sites for on-site support and evaluation of CTE programming.
• Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office/Office 365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CTE courses at Roanoke campus.
• Travel to other campuses to observe CTE programming and provide feedback.
• Lead and train staff using Career and College Readiness software.
• Coordinate work-based learning opportunities for students (internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing).
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.
