Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks instructors for the Education cluster, Teaching Careers pathway. You will teach hands-on CTE courses and sponsor a CTSO, coordinating with industry partners to provide internships and job shadows.

Required: a CTE Authorization/License and a bachelor’s, with a master’s preferred. The role emphasizes equity, real-world learning, and meaningful connections with students and communities in Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related industry credential; in some content areas a curriculum training may be required.
• Master’s degree preferred for all content areas; required for some with college coursework.
• CTE Authorization/Endorsement from Colorado Department of Education.
• Experience with diverse populations and collaborative, advisory-focused roles.

Responsibilities

• Help students develop competence and confidence through a balance of skill-building and conceptual understanding.
• Monitor and supervise student conduct, and reinforce positive behaviors per policy.
• Observe and record student performance, behavior, and health; communicate with families and staff.
• Prepare lesson plans, objectives, and materials to meet state/college competencies.
• Use varied teaching methods and technology; provide guidance on career planning.
