Qualifications

Candidate must hold NYS teaching certifications in visual arts or technology education, or have equivalent industry credentials.
Industry experience and/or relevant degree can be considered with guidance from Certification Officer.
Ability to teach design theory, art history, and industry-standard projects to a NYSED-approved CTE program.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) on Apple hardware.
Teach design theory, art history, and the influence of landmark designers.
Facilitate hands-on projects including digital photography and basic video production.
Prepare students for workforce readiness and professional client relations.
Maintain lab environment and stay current with industry trends.
Collaborate with internships and partnerships to provide real-world exposure.
Track student progress and adapt teaching methods to diverse learners.
Prepare students for certification exams and manage administrative records.
Comply with BOCES policies and state mandates.
