Job Description

Electrical Wiring summer support will run from August 4th – 6th from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Class will be conducted at Westfield Technical Academy’s Electrical Wiring classroom. Position involves medium work with regular lifting up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with pulling, pushing, reaching above, as required. Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in a variety of topics that meet the curriculum for the 9th‑grade Electrical Wiring.


• Evaluate student performance and provide regular feedback to students and stakeholders.


• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with regulatory guidance.


• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and policy.


• Elicit industrial/commercial labor input into all aspects of the educational program as required in Chapter 74.


• Promote the integration of academic competencies into the technical program as required in Chapter 74.

Work not to exceed 15 hours @ $45.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certified or certifiable as an Electrical Wiring Instructor in a Chapter 74 (Massachusetts General Laws) Vocational Education program.


• Experience teaching Electrical Wiring.


• 3 years of experience in the industry.


• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
