Job summary

The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. For most teacher, librarian or counselor roles, the minimum qualification is a Bachelor's Degree. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license.

Upon hire you must hold a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. You may apply for your Hawaii teaching license on the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's Degree for teacher, librarian or counselor roles.
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license.
• You must enroll in a Program to continue employment and demonstrate progress toward licensing as required by HTSB.
