Hawaiʻi State Department of Education is hiring qualified teachers in every classroom. The minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s Degree for most teaching, librarian, or counselor positions.

If hired without a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license and must actively pursue licensing requirements. Upon hire you will need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.

• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license.
• You must enroll in a program to continue employment with the Department.
