Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain competence.
• Confer with parents, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve problems.
• Enforce administrative policies and rules governing students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using lectures, discussions and demonstrations.
• Plan and supervise work of students in shop or laboratory.
• Maintain accurate student records and attendance as required by policy.
• Prepare materials and classroom for learning activities.
• Plan and supervise class projects and experiential activities.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and progress.
• Assign and grade class work and homework.
• Plan lessons with clear objectives and communicate them to students.
• Prepare, administer and grade tests and assignments.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and revise secondary programs.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities and place students in jobs or referrals.
