Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant for CTE Auto and Welding at Mountain View High School in Mesa, AZ. Start date is immediate; part-time 19 hours per week with a base hourly of $16.56.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers, supporting student learning, and performing clerical tasks to aid classroom operations. Qualifications include high school education or equivalent; preferred automotive technician or welding experience.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: Automotive Technician or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Welder or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist automotive/welding instructors and students in instructional activities.
• Relieve teacher of routine clerical tasks and maintain records.
• Develop instructional materials to support lesson plans.
• Maintain instructional equipment and ensure availability for lessons.
• Support school improvement initiatives and collaborative projects.
• Perform general clerical duties and data entry as needed.
• Attend and support during lab sessions and demonstrations.
