Job summary

Henry County Schools seeks a Teacher - Career & Technical Instruction (CTAE) to deliver high-quality CTAE curriculum, align instruction with standards, and monitor student progress through data-driven assessment.

You will collaborate with graduation coaches, CTI instructors, and special education staff to support students with disabilities in transitions and work-based learning experiences, reporting progress to parents and building capacity in staff.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate.
• Hold a CTI supplemental field endorsement or agree to obtain CTI certification prior to beginning the assignment.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, staff and the community.
• Must be regularly present at work and maintain confidentiality.
• Must comply with ethics and professional standards for educators.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction that aids career and technical pathways for student achievement.
• Collaborate with graduation coaches to improve graduation rate and support students with disabilities.
• Plan and implement professional development to build staff capacity in special education.
• Use assessment results to inform instructional strategies.
• Participate in IEP and related meetings to support transition and collaboration.
• Supervise work-based learning experiences and facilitate job placements.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
• Maintain records and reports in compliance with timelines.
