Job summary

Hall County Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School Teacher for grades 7-8 to foster academic growth, citizenship, and critical thinking. You will implement district-approved curricula, track progress, and provide feedback to students and families.

The role requires lesson planning, adaptive instruction, and collaboration with grade-level teams to enhance student outcomes. A Georgia teaching certification and a Bachelor's in education are expected; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of middle school curriculum and concepts.
• Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis to support instructional decisions.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
• Ability to use computer networks and software applications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer a middle school curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that supports individualized and small group instruction.
• Prepare lesson plans and create engaging instructional materials.
• Instruct multiple subjects as assigned for grades 7-8, following district course of study.
• Assess student learning, adjust methods to meet diverse needs, including students with special needs.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and progress.
• Communicate with parents about progress, goals, and expectations.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and professional development.
