Health Images is seeking a PRN CT/X-ray technologist to support our Southlands (Aurora) location. The position offers a pay range of $35.35 - $45.58 per hour, with PRN differential, and shifts as needed from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Summary/Objective:

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations, adjusting equipment, determining proper settings, and positioning patients. Utilizes ionizing radiation and cross-sectional imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images and data, assisting with contrast media and tomographic examinations.

Essential Functions:

• Interacts with patients to gather medical history and explains procedures to ensure optimal imaging.
• Reviews patient charts for relevant clinical information, consent, and screenings for implants or allergies.
• Obtains prior films/exams and performs quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Provides patient care before, during, and after exams, notifying staff of any condition changes.
• Transfers images as needed and coordinates protocols with radiologists.
• Maintains and inspects equipment, reporting issues promptly.
• Communicates with lead technologist and management regarding departmental concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience in CT (preferred) and X-Ray (preferred).
• Ability to educate patients and navigate multiple computer systems efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• State license (if applicable) and CPR certification.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Operates in an outpatient clinical setting with potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and other hazards. Requires physical ability to exert force and handle equipment, with frequent use of hands and vision tasks.

Additional Details:

No travel required. This role is entry-level, part-time, within the healthcare provider industry, primarily in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
