Job summary

UCHealth in Parker, CO is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform computed tomography imaging in accordance with scope and practice standards and organizational policies. You will review orders, educate patients, prepare contrast, and maintain safety and quality controls across imaging procedures.

The role requires ARRT RT registration with CT certification within 12 months, BLS/CPR, and Colorado licensure as applicable, along with at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT); ARRT CT registry within 12 months.
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS through AHA or ARC with card in-hand before start date; valid through 60 days of hire.
  • One year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, when ordered.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Minimum Requirements
  • One year of experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT); registration eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.
