Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Des Moines is looking for a dedicated CT Technologist to provide exceptional imaging care. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring patient safety during CT scans and supporting student training in the Radiology Department.

Key responsibilities include educating patients, monitoring sedation, and participating in quality assurance activities. Qualifications include graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and current Iowa Permit to Practice. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT CT Board Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CT experience strongly preferred.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• CPR certified.
• Maintain yearly CEU requirements.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff, and physicians.
• Educate and protect patients entering the CT scanning room.
• Assist with patient sedation and monitoring.
• Assist in the educational training of Student Radiologic Technologists.
• Assist with quality assurance processes.
