Job summary

Valor Health in Idaho is seeking a CT/X-ray Technologist to perform CT and general radiography exams, including intraoperative fluoroscopic guidance. You will work with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality imaging and ensure patient safety under ALARA principles.

The role requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, experience with PACS/RIS/EHR, and good communication. After‑hours, weekend, and on‑call coverage may be required, with a focus on accurate documentation and patient

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in general radiography and CT through an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Familiarity with standard imaging procedures and CT scans.
• Basic patient care, positioning, and comfort.
• Hands‑on experience operating X‑ray and CT equipment; basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles for patient and staff safety.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
• Strong communication with patients and healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EHR workflows.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and X‑ray procedures in accordance with orders and protocols.
• Operates, monitors, and maintains CT and X‑ray equipment.
• Prepares patients and explains imaging process clearly and compassionately.
• Ensures patient identification, documentation, and safety practices.
• Applies radiation safety and ALARA principles in practice.
• Documents procedures, patient information, and images in PACS/EHR.
• Responds to urgent imaging requests and participates in on‑call coverage as required.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment; reports equipment issues.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care and workflow.
