Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to perform routine and advanced CT procedures. The role requires ARRT CT or NMTCB CT certification and at least two years of related radiology experience. Must be able to administer IV contrast and follow safety protocols.

Full-time position with evenings, rotating weekends and holidays. On-site at York Hospital, with opportunities to train new staff and participate in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Proven CT radiology education and hands-on training.
• Experience with patient history and consent.
• Ability to administer contrast safely.
• Familiar with radiation safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT Scan Radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.
• Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
• Positions and transfers patients comfortably.
• Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
• Performs duties as on call technologist. Trains new staff. Has passed the CT specialty exam as per ARRT.
• Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.
• Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.

Full Time (80 hours/pay period)

Evenings

2 holidays per year; weekend rotation

• Certified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses And Training

• Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures. Upon Hire Required
