Job summary

Geisinger is looking for a CT Technologist I to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. This role offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. The successful candidate will perform CT procedures to acquire images used in patient diagnostics, operate advanced imaging technology, and ensure patient safety during scans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program (required).
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple CT system platforms at various locations.
• Strong understanding of dose-monitoring and Image Gently guidelines.
• Excellent technical knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and advanced CT physics.
• Ability to master new technology rapidly and work under general supervision of a radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform CT procedures and post-processing using advanced technology.
• Operate CT scanners and power injectors to acquire high-quality images.
• Maintain protocols based on Image Gently guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures to acquire digital images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Plan and perform all CT procedures and post‑processing using advanced technology, based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and established protocols.
• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire high‑quality images.
• Maintain protocols based on Image Gently guidelines and CT scanner integration into dose‑monitoring programs.
• Ensure patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and protective shielding as applicable.
• Obtain and review laboratory results and pharmacologic data prior to exams.
• Interpret technical factors to improve image quality or scan speed, and to lower patient dose.
• Perform CT interventional and CTA imaging procedures (carotid, head, vertebral, run‑offs, pulmonary embolism, advanced CTA studies such as TAVR, EVAR, cardiac imaging).
• Maintain knowledge of major organ systems and vascular systems across thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal systems.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support Certification (BSL).
• Certified Radiology Technologist within 12 months (ARRT).
