Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Peter's Hospital in Albany is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time weekend track (Saturday-Sunday, 7:00am-7:30pm).

The CT Tech will perform CT procedures under the Medical Imaging Chief, maintaining ALARA principles and accurate documentation. The role requires an AAS in Radiologic Technology, a minimum of 2 years CT experience, current ARRT registration, NYS license, and Siemens equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years' CT Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT registration and NYS license required; certification to Inject on Siemens equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures in accordance with department standards under the Chief of Medical Imaging.
• Obtains and records complete clinical history pertinent to the examination.
• Evaluates requests for appropriateness and refers concerns to coordinator/radiologist.
• Instructs patients about the exam.
• Communicates post-procedure information.
• Maintains ALARA practices to ensure safe radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Completes documentation related to patient care and RIS requirements.
• Uses positioning devices and equipment to deliver safe, accurate exams.
• Assists in training new personnel.
