Job summary

St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time, 12-hour day shift with weekend track days (7:00am–7:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays).

This Magnet Hospital is part of St Peter's Health Partners and offers a strong orientation program and tuition support. Responsibilities include performing CT procedures under the Medical Imaging Chief, with emphasis on ALARA practices and thorough patient communication.

Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum of 2 years' CT Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT registration, NYS license, and injection certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records a complete clinical history for examinations.
• Evaluates requests for appropriateness and refers concerns to coordinator/radiologist.
• Instructs patients about the exam and informs them about post-procedure care.
• Ensures ALARA-based radiation protection for patients and staff.
• Completes all required documentation for patient care, imaging and RIS.
• Assists in training of new personnel.
