Job summary

St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist II for a full-time 12-hour day shift, with weekend track days (7:00am-7:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays).

Under the Medical Imaging Chief, you will perform CT procedures and ensure quality and safety in a Magnet Hospital setting. Requirements include an AAS in Radiologic Technology, 2+ years CT experience, ARRT registration, NYS license, and injection certification; Siemens equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' CT Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT registration, NYS license and injection certification.
• Experience with Siemens equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging.
• Obtain and record a complete clinical history relevant to the examination.
• Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the radiologist or coordinator.
• Instruct patients about the exam and post-procedure instructions.
• Ensure ALARA radiation protection for patients and staff and participate in the dosimetry program.
• Complete all documentation for patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.
• Assist in training new personnel.
