Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care within a collaborative radiology team. The ideal candidate has ARRT CT and radiography certifications, at least 1 year radiology experience, and completes accredited radiologic technology education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.“
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile techniques.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reimage if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock equipment and crash carts.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required

Certifications

• ARRT‑R (Radiography)

• ARRT‑CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.

• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjustingtechniquestomaintaindiagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).

• Clean, disinfect, andmaintainrooms/equipment per infection control schedules;identifyand report equipment issues promptly.

• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.

• Explain procedures, prep, andpost‑careclearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.

• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provideage‑appropriatecare throughout the visit.

• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.

• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization asindicated.

• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.

• Completeaccurate,timelydocumentation and ensure studies are correctlyfinalizedin RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).

• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and helpmaintain/restock crash cart andlife‑supportequipment asrequired.

• Organize dailyworkflowsto meet expectedtimeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.

• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalat? supervisor.
