Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams and ensure proper procedures. The role requires screening for contrast contraindications, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining competency.

Weekend/evening shifts and on-call availability are expected. Responsibilities include quality control, order verification, and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure patient safety and optimal care.

Qualifications

• Must have current BCLS certification.
• 2 years CT and/or Radiographer experience preferred.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• Must comply with all Compliance Program and Code of Conduct policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Computed Tomography exams and quality control as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluates orders and verifies with radiologist when needed; ensures correct exam is performed.
• Screen patients for contraindications for oral or IV contrast; interact with hospital staff regarding patient care and concerns.
• Maintain performance skills and work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call when needed.
