Responsibilities include selecting appropriate equipment, adjusting technical factors, and communicating with patients and families about the exam and radiation safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT RT/CT registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of experience as Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine CT imaging on scheduled and emergency basis.
• Reviews requisitions and abstracts data to determine CT appropriateness.
• Identify patients using hospital policy with two identifiers.
• Explain the exam and address radiation exposure concerns (ALARA).
• Participates in departmental meetings and completes documentation accurately.
