Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist for a casual position at Lake Forest Hospital. Schedule is every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 2:30p-11p with on-call and holiday rotation.

The CT Technologist ensures patient safety, performs diagnostic CT scans, and maintains accurate documentation in the imaging and medical record systems while following ALARA principles and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois IEMA accreditation and BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety throughout imaging, including screening, prep and post-procedure care.
• Produce diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgement to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Review images and initiate corrective actions if image adequacy is not met.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain room readiness.
• Document exam data accurately in PACS and medical records.
