Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist for the Lake Forest Hospital weekend program. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week, with 2 Saturday/Sunday shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM and premium pay on top of base pay.

We require graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program and BLS certification; ARRT CT certification preferred. Join a Magnet-designated hospital dedicated to patient care, safety, and cutting-edge imaging technology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable).
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
• Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, Infection prevention measures safe practices (as applicable to the role) to protect self, patients, visitors and team members.
• Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.
