Job Description

• This is a part-time position at 24 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. It is part of the Weekend Program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. The schedule is 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10p-1030a. Holidays are required when applicable. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is being offered for this position.

The CT Technologist Weekend role reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Positions and immobilizes patients on examining tables.
• Administers contrast media, oral and/or IV, according to department policies, patient history, exam protocols, and physician orders, and follows post-exam instructions.
• Enters data such as scan type, slice thickness, scan time, and other technical data into the computer.
• Communicates with patients before and during procedures; monitors safety and comfort.
• Views images on video display to ensure quality; produces radiographs.
• Performs CT equipment QA and maintains logs.
• Handles clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• ARRT certification
• IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
• BLS through American Heart Association
• 2-3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Preferred:

• ARRT registry in CT or MRI
• 1 year experience
