  • This is a part-time position at 24 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. This role is part of the Weekend Program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. Schedule for this role is 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. Holidays may be required. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The CT Technologist Weekend role reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
  • Position and immobilize patients on examining tables.
  • Administer contrast media (oral and/or IV) following department policies, patient history, exam protocols, and physician orders; provide post-exam instructions.
  • Enter technical data such as scan type, slice thickness, and scan time into the computer.
  • Communicate with patients before and during procedures; monitor safety and comfort.
  • Review images on video displays to ensure quality; produce radiographs.
  • Perform CT equipment QA and maintain logs.
  • Handle clerical tasks including receiving orders, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain and clean work area and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT certification
  • IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety certification
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • 2-3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Preferred:

  • ARRT registry in CT or MRI
  • 1 year of experience
