Job summary

Personal Touch Home Health Care Services Inc. seeks a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT scans, ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

The role focuses on safety, image optimization, and clear communication with patients. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, preparing images for interpretation, monitoring for adverse reactions, and collaborating with physicians to deliver timely, precise exams in a patient-centered outpatient

Qualifications

  • Technical School Diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Radiography program.
  • Less than 1 year of radiologic technologist experience.
  • Proficiency in CT software and post-procedure processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and adaptability across all patient ages.
  • Certifications: BLS (within 30 days), RT-Radiology (upon hire), ARRT-CT (within 1 year).

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment safely and effectively, including scanners, injectors, and monitors.
  • Review and optimize images, repeating scans as necessary for clarity.
  • Communicate with patients by explaining procedures and keeping them informed.
  • Prepare images for interpretation, administer contrast media per protocol, and document procedures accurately.
  • Monitor for adverse reactions, notify physicians of any concerns, and review patient charts prior to exams.
  • Assess patient needs, medical history, and provide education to ensure proper preparation.
  • Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality and maintain equipment standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and complete scheduled and unscheduled work efficiently.

Job description

Role Overview: Perform high-quality CT scans of designated anatomy, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to physician specifications. Provide courteous, professional patient care, addressing questions and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Health Science or related field.
  • Venipuncture skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40-50 lbs, stand/walk frequently, and perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR as needed.
