Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT and radiologic equipment, producing diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. You will ensure patient records are updated and results are communicated promptly, and collaborate with radiologists to review images and obtain additional views as needed.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, Ohio radiographer licensure, and preferred CT Registry.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
• One year Radiology Technology experience preferred.
• CT Registry preferred.
• Manual dexterity to calibrate and operate equipment, position patients, and administer intravenous contrast.
• Ability to communicate verbally with patients, physicians and hospital staff.
• Ability to lift and position patients.
• Completion of training to perform other radiology procedures.
• Ability to use computer and file systems for patient records.
• CPR certification.
• Population-specific competency for diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs.
• Ensures patient records are properly updated and results are initiated promptly.
• Evaluates images with Radiologist and requests additional images as needed.
• Assists with invasive procedures as trained.
• Performs other assigned duties within training scope.
