Job summary

Envision Imaging in Mansfield, TX seeks a Full-Time CT Trainee Technologist to join our team. The trainee will assist with CT examinations, patient positioning, and image generation under supervision of a certified CT Technologist.

Responsibilities include reviewing charts, obtaining prior films, coordinating with Radiologist, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety. This position operates in a clinical outpatient setting with opportunities for ARRT certification progress.

Qualifications

• Two years prior experience in diagnostic imaging – preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
• In process of obtaining ARRT certification.
• In process of obtaining Registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
• Current license from state medical board if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program

In process of obtaining American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification

In process of obtaining Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)

Current license from state medical board if applicable
