Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CT Radiology Technologist Trainee for the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. This role is ideal for a radiology technologist looking to advance education while working as a CT technologist.

You will perform quality CT procedures under supervision, participate in teaching and research related to CT, and contribute to a fast-paced, patient-centered department.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiology.
  • Current ARRT certification in radiography (R) required.
  • State Nebraska Medical Radiographer License required.
  • BLS certification upon department orientation required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality CT procedures under supervision of a CT radiology technologist and radiologist.
  • Assist in teaching and research related to CT.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the department.

CT Technologist Trainee - Nebraska Medical Center

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a CT Radiology Technologist Trainee. This role will be great for someone that is currently working as a radiology technologist and would like to continue their education while working as a CT technologist. This person has a passion for fast paced CT and great customer service for our patients we serve. This specific position will work from the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.


Nebraska Medicine CT department offers radiology technologists the opportunity to work with innovative equipment and software, while providing care to unique patients from around the world. Working in the CT department is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills by being part of an energetic and fast-paced environment providing care to thousands of patients annually. Shift:


  • Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)

  • Monday - Friday 8 or 10 hour shifts, some flexibility in order to accommodate a shorter workday with evenings to study if needed

  • Limited weekends / No Call

  • Location: Nebraska Medical Center

CT Technologist Trainee:

Perform quality computed tomography (CT) procedures under the supervision of a qualified CT radiology technologist and radiologist, to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment. Participate in teaching and research relating to CT in support of the organizational mission. Demonstrate active involvement in the department.


Required Qualifications:


  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology required.

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in radiography (R) required.

  • State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of department orientation required.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Be able to manage patients in a hospital situation preferred.

  • Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.

  • Proficient knowledge of multi-dimensional medical imaging systems, patient transportation devices, and Radiology Information System preferred.
