AdventHealth is seeking a CT Technologist for a StaffFlex, night-shift position in Lake Wales, FL. The role involves performing all CT exams per protocol, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked imaging suite.

Required education is an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, with ARRT credentials or eligibility. BLS/CPR certification and Florida licensure considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required for clinical duties.
• ARRT Radiography certification or eligible status.
• Experience with CT procedures is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams using established protocols.
• Ensures proper patient identification and education prior to exams.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, including scanners and injectors.
• Maintains infection control and uses PPE as required.
• Positions patients and equipment to produce radiographs meeting radiologist standards.
• Performs clerical duties: scheduling, records, and communications.

Job Description

CT Technologist, StaffFlex contract $63.00/hr + diff 13weeks Full-time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 7:00p - 7:30a No on-call XR and CT experience [Required]

Performs all exams using established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and education prior to the exam.

Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Screens patients of childbearing age and minimizes radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers, while practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.

Positions patients and equipment, selects technical factors, and produces radiographic images that meet Radiologist’s standards in a safe and timely manner.

Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.

Provides direct patient care within the technologist’s scope of practice, utilizing proper infection control techniques.

Monitors patient condition, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy, while obtaining and documenting patient history and explaining procedures.

Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages.

Screens patients for any contrast allergies.

Adapts imaging protocols as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's [Required] Field of Study: from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology or JCERT accreditation
