Job summary

AdventHealth in Land O Lakes, Florida, seeks a skilled CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, document in EMR and PACS, and educate patients about exams while maintaining workflow.

Required RT(R) and CPR/BLS, ARRT-CT preferred, high attention to radiation safety, and ability to learn new technology. We offer benefits from day one and a supportive, faith-based environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) [Required]
• ARRT-CT certification preferred
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• 1+ year radiology and CT training experience preferred

Job Description:

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff

• Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $28.97 - $53.88
