Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT exams, ensure safety and infection control, and document studies in RIS/PACS, while maintaining patient comfort and clear communication using AIDET.

The role requires ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications with at least 1 year Radiology experience; full-time schedule with weekend shifts and potential relocation assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care during the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly and stocked, and escalate issues as needed.
