Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT is hiring a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams following established protocols and assist radiologists. You will select exposure factors and acquisition fields, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiography program, CT ARRT certification (or eligible within 12 months), CT license in Connecticut, and BLS.

Qualifications

• CT Advanced certification by ARRT within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures per established protocols.

• Assist Radiologist or Physician's Assistant in complex CT examinations using proper sterile technique.

Summary

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. Participates in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Connecticut state Radiographer license required.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT within 12 months of hire required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience

• At least one (1) year experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• 6 months experience in Radiology hospital setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of CT Technology and venipuncture.
