Job summary

AdventHealth in Asheville, NC seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations, prep IV contrast, and ensure radiologic safety. You will work with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses while maintaining workflow and ALARA standards.

Required ARRT RT (CT) certification or equivalent and BLS. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; 1+ year radiology experience; full-time, day shift with benefits from Day One.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred with CT training.
• ARRT-CT certification preferred or required as applicable.
• BLS certification required and maintained.

Job Description: Sign On Bonus up to $2,500 Schedule: Full Time Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm Location: 20 Medical Park Drive, Asheville, NC (Will float to other Rad/Onc clinic locations Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time. Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications. Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.

• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff
• Demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Ability to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail
• As required, performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training.
