Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a CT Tech to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure safety and image quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role includes administering contrast, monitoring for adverse reactions, and collaborating with radiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic results. This PRN night shift position requires attention to detail and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical radiology experience required.
• Currently licensed Radiologic Technologist; CT certification eligibility within six months of hire.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and processing systems to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures.
• Verifies patient identification and physician orders; screens contraindications.
• Administers contrast media as ordered and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Communicates procedures clearly to patients and provides post-exam instructions.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure timely, accurate results.
• Performs quality control on CT equipment and maintains a clean work area.
