Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a CT Technologist for PRN, variable shifts, at our Radiology CT Scan Services. This role focuses on imaging the correct anatomical area with adherence to department protocols while providing compassionate patient care.

You will handle room preparation, contrast administration, and image transfers to PACS, maintaining equipment and patient safety throughout. The ideal candidate will be ARRT certified in CT with CMRT and BCLS credentials, and have 1 year

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required)
• Associate Degree (preferred)
• 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or No experience with ARRT-CT (required)
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required)
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB (required) and
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to and during exam
• Image the correct anatomic area and pathology according to department protocols
• Perform complex procedures including age-related criteria and developmental considerations
• Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot and adjust techniques
• Send and transfer images to PACS
• Assess and recognize patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
• Operate, care for and maintain equipment
• Prepare room for examination and administer contrast media
• Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients
