Job summary

UF Health in Florida seeks a CT Technologist. Under the direction of Department Manager and in association with radiologists, the technologist provides quality patient care while minimizing radiation exposure.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiology program, State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer license (CT preferred), ARRT certification (CT preferred), BLS, and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Responding to patient needs and supporting colleagues to provide quality patient care.

Job description

Overview

Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The CT Technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team.

Qualifications

Education:

• Post High School Special Training
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
• Cross-trained in Cat Scan Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer qualifications license required (Computer Tomography qualifications preferred)
• ARRT(R) required
• ARRT(CT) preferred
• BLS required
