Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a radiology assistant/technologist to perform computerized imaging and support both patients and physicians. Must hold relevant licensure and education with the ability to troubleshoot systems.

Preferred candidates have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and BLS certification. A strong understanding of equipment and patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Licensure: BLS from AHA or Red Cross; ARRT (R) Radiography with potential ARRT (CT) within 1 year.
• Alternative combos: FL DOH Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (N) and ARRT (CT) or related combos.
• Experience: Less than one year in computerized imaging (CT, x-ray, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy) or CT program graduate.
• Skills: Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot; ability to support patients physically and psychologically.

Required Experience:Less than one year in computerized imaging (CT, x-ray, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy), or graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program.

Preferred Experience:One year of radiology experience within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI and graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program or 1 year of CT imaging experience.
